Melissa Armstrong is the daughter of Tom and Julie Armstrong. Melissa has been actively involved in dance since she was four years old. She takes classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe at DuHadway Dance Dimensions, and assists in younger dance classes. Melissa has also earned her Grade IV certificate in the Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet.

Melissa enjoys volunteering as a student leader for the 7th and 8th grade Campus Life program at Youth for Christ. She plays bassoon in concert band, and has participated in a variety of ways in marching band throughout her high school years. Melissa has been involved in the National Honor Society since her sophomore year, and currently serves as the historian. Melissa attends the Alma United Methodist Church, where she is active in youth group and assists with activities such as Vacation Bible School. Through her youth group, Melissa has traveled to three work camps, to serve in needy areas of Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Canada.

Melissa plans to attend Calvin College next fall, where she is interested in pursuing either Education or Speech Pathology.
