Adam Most is one busy young man at IHS. He has maintained a 3.8 GPA while involved in National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Youth Advisory Council and serves on Student Council. Adam also plays trumpet in the concert and marching bands for Ithaca High School. The band recently received a 1 rating in the state competition. Adam also participates on the varsity track, football and basketball (team captain) teams, and finds time to volunteer for community activities. Adam’s combined ACT and GPA scores place him as a top 3 student at IHS. Adam will attend Saginaw Valley State University (he has been awarded the President Scholarship) to study accounting with a minor in entrepreneurial business…..and perhaps play a little football, too.

Image of Cody Hoover

Cody Hoover has the distinct honor of being a repeat “Student of the Month” as he also was also selected as a junior (last year) for this recognition. Cody is an exceptional leader at SLHS and participates in a number of athletic and academic arenas. He is a member of Business Professionals of America and National Honor Society. Cody participated on the basketball (a very successful season) and golf team. He earned league honors for his golfing prowess this past season. Cody plans on attending Saginaw Valley State University (do we sense a trend) to major in business and accounting….and maybe help out the SVSU golf team, too.

Katie Oosting is the daughter of Dan and Colleen Oosting. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and currently serves as vice president. Katie has been a member of the class board for three years and has also been active in Youth Advisory Council, a community service organization, for four years. She enjoys tutoring, volunteering in elementary schools, and helping at church.

Katie has participated in several sports, including basketball, volleyball, and tennis. She was twice selected most valuable player in volleyball. During her three years on the varsity tennis team, Katie was all-conference three times, regional champion twice (this past season at #1 singles), and was selected team captain and most valuable player this year.

Katie is planning to attend either Hope or Calvin College in the fall. She is interested especially in the biological sciences.
