Megan Cameron is a top 5 academic student at IHS. She is a member of National Honor Society and a leader on the class council. Megan participates on the state champion Pom-Pon team and is very involved in her community (adopt a family and many other care projects). Megan plans on attending Davenport University.

Hailey Uribe is a very involved and responsible student at SLHS. She is one of the top academic performers, editor of the fabulously famous SLHS Yearbook, and also fulfills the roll and responsibilities of Student Council President. Hailey plans on attending Central Michigan University with a major in journalism.

Image of Alex Henry

Alex Henry is the daughter of Burt and Cheryl Henry. She has been a class board member for three years, has served as Sophomore Class President, Junior Class Vice President, and is currently the Senior Class President. Alex has been a member of Student Council for four years, is the Secretary of National Honor Society, and also serves as an Alma College Leadership Forum planning delegate. In addition, Alex has been a leadership team member of the Youth Advisory Council for four years, is Co-President of the group, and enjoys participating in community service activities including volunteering at Masonic Pathways. In 2005, she was selected as Alma’s Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar ambassador and returned as a counselor in 2006. She was a State Finalist in the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award competition and has advanced to State competition in the Daughter’s of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award competition. A 4-H member for 11 years, she has participated in many camps, conferences, and fairs with her club and received the 4-H member of the Year Award in 2006.

Over the past six years her leadership experience has carried over to her involvement in FFA. Alex serves as the Alma FFA President as well as the Region III FFA President. She was privileged to win the National Risk Management Essay Contest last year and was a National Semi-Finalist in Extemporaneous Public Speaking last fall. Alex was also named as the Farm Bureau Discussion Meet State Winner last month.

Athletics are also a big part of Alex’s life and she has received three Varsity letters in both track and four in cross country. She has been captain of her cross country team for two years and received all-conference honors her junior year.

Alex plans on attending Michigan State University next fall to pursue a dual-degree through the honors college in Agricultural Communications and Political Science Pre-law.

Niall Olling is one of those rare students that seem to not only be busy, but always the student that is able to take on additional activities as they arise within the walls of BHS. He participates in Student Council, National Honor Society, and Spanish Club. Niall carries a dual enrollment in Calculus. He is the recipient of a $50,000.00 scholarship to attend Kettering University/GMI, and will major in mechanical engineering.
